Welcome From Cassandra Burns
Welcome to your Manatee Young Professionals, the future leaders of Manatee County. This year I am honored to chair MYP and lead a dedicated and excited group of young professionals. This group is critical and valuable in planning the activities and initiatives of our program here at the Chamber and in the community.
Each year we continue to grow and over the last few years our membership has exceeded 400+ members. If you are already a member, thank you for your support and commitment. Your membership makes it possible for us to offer diverse programming so that there is something for everyone through MYP.
If you are new to MYP or just checking us out, we welcome you and hope to see you at some of our great networking events throughout the year. You will love what you find at MYP, through our monthly lunches, community service projects, socials and educational events. We encourage you to come to any event as our guest, learn more about our community, and have the opportunity to make valuable business connections!
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We're always available to answer any questions or help in any way we can.

Why join the Manatee Young Professionals?
Being a member of MYP offers a young professional valuable networking, meaningful community involvement, enlightening professional/personal development and the opportunity to engage with business and community leaders while enhancing their business connections.
Who will I meet?
MYP networking social typically draw between 75–125 young professionals each month. They are there to make connections that will help them expand their network and do more business. Our networking luncheons typically include 30–40 individuals each month by providing the opportunity for more B2B networking and hone an "elevator speech" promoting their business. Our special events range from a 40–person night of bowling to a 150–person, large group baseball outing, to a 20–person wine tasting event.
Our members come from companies large and small ‐ international and garage-entrepreneurial. All are seeking new ways to meet other young professionals, do more business and help make Manatee County a place that attracts and supports young professionals.
What does it take to join MYP?
What is the cost of MYP?
Annual individual MYP membership is $50 for young professionals whose company is a member of the Manatee Chamber and $70 for those whose company is not yet a Chamber member. Corporate memberships are also available for companies with multiple young professionals on staff.
Why join a committee?
Committees are where the vision is set for MYP. Our committee members are able to chart the course for the program, implement new ideas, strengthen friendships and impact their community.
